Exercises:
Exercise 1. Getting to know the machine
This exercise is aimed at introduction into and development of primary skills of working with the dozer controls, namely: training the operator to use the pedals; to start and stop the engine. Also the operator learns to use the lights, observe safety rules, use the horn correctly and apply and release the parking brake.
Exercise 2. Operation
The exercise is aimed at developing skills for handling the dozer controls before starting work, movement with detection of the front and rear position and correct placement of attachments for measuring oil level in the hydraulic system and for parking the machine.
Exercise 3. Driving into the garage in reverse gear
Developing skills for driving the dozer into the garage using the reverse gear.
Exercise 4. Driving onto a lowboy
Drive the dozer onto a lowboy.
Exercise 5. Driving off a lowboy
Drive the dozer off a lowboy.
Exercise 6. Boggy country driving
Developing skills for dozer driving across a boggy country with notification of incorrect operator actions.
Exercise 7. Driving uphill and downhill
Developing skills for driving the dozer uphill and downhill across a mountainous terrain with notification of incorrect operator actions.
Exercise 8. Driving downhill and turning
Developing skills for driving the dozer downhill across a mountainous terrain with notification of incorrect operator actions.
Exercise 9. Leveling a sand dust slope to a preset grade
Level the sand dust slope to a preset grade with the backside of the blade using the reverse gear. The surface must be as even as possible. The area marked with green color is leveled to a satisfactory degree while the area marked with red color is unsatisfactory.
Exercise 10. Releasing from a bog
Developing skills and mastering actions for independent dozer release in a boggy area in case its caterpillars are stuck.
